Incumbents re-elected in May 9 City Council election


Mansfield voters re-elected all three incumbents in the May 9 City Council election.

The unofficial voting results are as follows:

In the race for City Council Place 3, incumbent Stephen Lindsey received 904 votes (74 percent) with challenger Anthony Gonzales receiving 323 votes (26 percent).

For City Council Place 4, incumbent Darryl Haynes had no challenger and received 1,081 votes (100 percent).

In the race for City Council Place 5, incumbent Cory Hoffman received 877 votes (66 percent). Challenger Tamera J. Bounds received 352 votes (27 percent) and Larry Menendez Jr. received 96 votes (7 percent).

The votes will be canvassed Tuesday, May 19.
