The City of Mansfield is looking for a few good men, and women, to take active roles in city government by serving on city boards and commissions. Applications are due by Aug. 7.
“Volunteers are important to any city and those serving on our boards and commissions play a vital role in helping shape our community,” said Mayor David L. Cook. “The more citizens are involved, the better.”
Applications are now being accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in the City Secretary’s Office. The boards seeking applications are Planning & Zoning Commission, Mansfield Economic Development Corporation, Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation, Library Advisory Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Historic Landmark Commission and Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission.
Residents interested in applying may download an application from the city’s website at https://www.mansfieldtexas.gov/sites/default/files/media/application.pdfor come by the City Secretary’s Office at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. Applications will be reviewed in August and the City Council will conduct interviews in September.
