All this summer, join the Mansfield Activities Center instructors for Fitness Fridays, a rotating selection of the MAC’s most popular workout classes moved outside into the fresh air of Katherine Rose Memorial Park.
“Fitness Friday is about more than just a great workout,” said Recreation Supervisor Greg Guse. “We wanted to bring our programs out to one of the city’s most popular parks, to get in front of new faces. It’s the perfect opportunity for people who’ve never even heard of our classes to give it a try, or even for people who work out regularly to try something new.”
The class options vary, with different styles and instructors, all taking place at 9:30 a.m. on Fridays throughout the summer at Rose Park. Online registration is $5 per class or $6 on site at the park. MAC staff will be on hand to take payment before each class begins, so just come a little early to have time to get processed and warmed up before the fun begins. MAC membership is not required for these trial classes, making it an easy, low-pressure way to sample the programs before signing up for a regular session.
“We’ve got so many great workout options here at the MAC,” said facility manager Coco Garcia, “but too often people just don’t even know we’re here. We’re so excited for Fitness Friday to bring our great parks and our fabulous recreation offerings together, so Mansfield residents can enjoy them both. And have fun while they’re doing it.”
