Mainstage Classic Theater brings the fabulous 50′s to life with this production about four best friends, first at their senior prom and then at their high school reunion. Great for all ages, whether introducing kids to the classic bops or reliving your youth. Show runs all week.

Our popular and award-winning program returns for spring. Join a naturalist-led tour of the creeks surrounding Joe Pool Lake while observing local flora and fauna. No experience is necessary and all equipment and training provided. Ages 7Y+ only. All guests under age 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Got a little one who loves to get their hands dirty? Join us for a gardening class where kids ages 5Y+ will learn about seeds and soil through hands-on experience that includes dissecting and planting seeds and a walk through the ONP gardens.

Spring has sprung, and nowhere is it more clear than at Oliver Nature Park. Take a hike with our naturalists to see how our gardens (and animal friend) are adapting to the changing season. Great for the whole family. Ages 2Y+ must register.

Wednesday, March 14
How do animals find food, make homes and survive in the wild? This fun, hands-on class allows kids to create puzzles and mazes for our live Wildlife Ambassadors (including bunnies, turtles and more) to solve. Open to ages 5Y+.

Cast a line with us! This is a great introductory course to what could become a lifelong hobby for your kids. All the equipment and supplies (even worms) are supplied, just show up and learn the basics. Open to ages 3-16Y; all anglers over age 16 must have a valid Texas license in Mansfield Parks.

Learn all about fossils and the creatures that left them in these two programs, divided for age-appropriate science. Both include a walk through the park and hands-on experiments.

Historic Downtown Mansfield brings the after-hours to life on the third Thursday of each month, with themed games, promotions, live music and more. Teams of three enjoy fast-paced competition in this two-day, double elimination tournament for ages 16Y+ that includes a three-point competition on Friday evening. Registration closes March 10.

The Pickle festivities begin Friday night with the first-ever Beer Barrel Races down Main Street and a live Texas music concert featuring Coffey Anderson. All events are free to the public and great for the whole family.

Mansfield’s famous Pickle Palooza begins at 10 am with vendor booths, kids area, food and drink and live entertainment. Other morning events include a baby parade at 10 am and pet parade at noon.

The main attraction of the day, of course, is the annual Pickle Parade. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras, so get ready to watch the beads fly as the Pickle Queens and their friends spread St. Patrick’s Day cheer throughout Mansfield.
