Ready to rock? The stage is set Sept. 8 for the 2018 Music Alley Festival


Historic Downtown Mansfield will be rocking and rolling this September, as the second annual Music Alley music and arts festival returns for one last blast of summer fun. Last year nearly 6,000 people filled the streets for the first-time event, known for a unique combination of varied musical genres and artist exhibitions that give attendees a one-of-a-kind experience.

This year’s festival is on track to be bigger and better, with new bands, new art and the same exciting location - right in the heart of downtown Mansfield. Before you lace up your dancing shoes to join us, check out all the important things you need to know about the 2018 Music Alley Festival:


All four stages will play concurrently from 4 to 10 p.m., with a wide variety in genres so there is truly something for everyone.

More than a dozen local artists will be on hand to showcase and sell their original artwork and give demonstrations. Click here for a list of participating artists and their contact information.

Sponsor booths include interactive activities where guests can create their own mini masterpieces, from painted rocks to tie-dye and bubble paint. Displays include the photography contest finalists and floating mural walls. Entries are still being accepted for photography in all categories, including adult professional, adult amateur, teen and youth. The Kids Alley includes a special stage just for them, with a rotating schedule of performers and activities that are sure to inspire & excite. The Austin Bike Zoo’s Preying Mantis will be on display, juggler David Slick and Apex Percussion will perform. Kids will also enjoy experimenting with different sounds in an instrument petting zoo sponsored by Apex and School of Rock Mansfield, whose all-youth band will also perform.

Dogs are welcome on leashes to most outdoor spaces within the festival, but please be advised there may be large crowds and loud noises in certain performances that can spook some animals.




Food and drink will be available for purchase from a number of vendors and food trucks, with everything sweet, savory and beyond available to enjoy. Beer and wine sales benefit the Mansfield Commission for the Arts.





The Music Alley Festival is on located along Main Street (FM 157) between Oak and Broad streets. Some roads will be shut down to allow for safe pedestrian traffic so please use caution when approaching the area.

Parking is available at the following public lots; please keep an eye out for signs and avoid parking in private business spaces or in front of residences. Handicap parking will be available; please enter off Broad Street and look for signs or traffic officers that can direct to the closest available spaces.
