Applications sought for city boards and commissions


The Mansfield City Council is currently accepting applications from residents interested in volunteering their service on one of the City’s boards or commissions.

“Citizen involvement is important in every community, and Mansfield has been fortunate to have volunteers who want to give back to their city,” said Mayor David L. Cook. “Those serving on our boards and commissions play a vital role in helping shape Mansfield.”

Boards seeking applicants include the Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Mansfield Economic Development Corporation, Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation, Library Advisory Board, Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission, Historic Landmark Commission and Mansfield Commission for the Arts. Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2019, and reviewed by the City Council during the month of August. Appointments will be finalized in September with new appointees beginning their service Oct. 1.

Residents interested in serving are encouraged to submit an application to City Secretary Susana Marin at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. or emailed to [email protected].
